One Man, A Truck, And A Dream

Edmunds Foods Inc. was built on hard work, determination, and a vision for something bigger. Before the company ever existed, Mr. Edmunds spent years on the road delivering poultry to Atlanta restaurants. Through long days on the road and countless hours in the industry, he learned the business from the ground up and saw an opportunity to create something of his own. In 1999, that vision became reality. Starting in a shared facility in Gainesville, Georgia, Edmunds Foods began with just six employees, a box truck, and a commitment to delivering quality products and dependable service to local restaurants and businesses. By 2004, Edmunds Foods had expanded into a second facility in Cumming, Georgia, operating two shifts with growing teams dedicated to meeting increasing demand. What began as a local operation was quickly developing into a trusted name within the poultry industry. In 2010, the company reached another major milestone when Mr. Edmunds purchased property in Dahlonega, Georgia, and designed a facility built specifically for the future of Edmunds Foods. The new plant opened with a single shift and a team of around ten employees. Today, that team has grown to more than thirty dedicated employees who continue to drive the company forward. As the business evolved, Edmunds Foods shifted its focus from serving local restaurants to supplying full truckload quantities to further processors and cook plants across the region. The company became highly specialized in skinning and deboning chicken thighs, while also taking on specialty projects over the years including strips, diced products, and marinated chicken products. These experiences helped shape the company’s capabilities and reputation for dependable quality, consistency, and service. Today, Edmunds Foods operates with advanced processing equipment, a top-tier food safety team, HACCP and SQF certifications, and technologies such as X-ray inspection systems to ensure superior product quality and customer confidence. While honoring the values the company was built on, Edmunds Foods continues to look toward the future. The company is actively pursuing expansion opportunities and preparing to launch its own chicken salad product line, bringing the same dedication to quality and safety into new markets and products. From one truck to a trusted poultry processing operation, Edmunds Foods continues to grow while staying true to the hardworking values it was founded on over two decades ago.
